Many computer users recently began reporting seeing the following error on their computer.
"Error: This module was compiled with a Trial Version of Delphi. The
Trial period has expired".
Most of these users know nothing of Delphi. The Delphi trial times out after 60 days. Applications created with it do, too. Someone has created and distributed a piece of software with the trial version of Delphi, and it timed out on 26 November. This is the reason for the error.
The cause of this is explained in more detail in this FAQ, written by a member of Borland Technical Support. The document also includes instructions on how to correct the error. It does not say who created the offending software or how it was distributed. We will endevour to learn these, and to coordinate with whomever that is to help reduce this problems impact, and to avoid such difficulties in the future.
Please follow the link to the directions on fixing this, and thank you for your patience as we pursue a longer-term solution.
